The All Progressives Congress candidate for the Chairmanship position in Eti-Osa East Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Hon. John Campos Ogundare was, yesterday, declared the winner of the Local Council Election in a keenly contested poll.
Hon. Ogundare who polled 9,635 votes to beat candidates from other political parties , was declared winner and returned elected by Mr Sunday Oladele Adebajo, the Returning Officer of the election. While announcing, he said:
*...that Hon. Ogundare John Campos of APC is hereby declared the winner of the Chairmanship election in Eti-Osa East LCDA, having complied with the requirements of the law and scored the majority number of votes ..."*
A resounding clap of joy and the shout of APC rented the air afterwards as the party members and loyal supporters could not contain their joy on the victory.
Hon. John Campos Ogundare thanked the good people of Eti-Osa East, his party leaders and members, his loyal supporters and his campaign team for their support and great effort at ensuring he got the mandate.
He assured the people that he will not renege on his promise of giving a better continuity of good governance to the great people of Eti-Osa East LCDA.
