Hon. John Campos Meets with SWAGA '23 Eti-Osa East LCDA Representatives

The Executive Chairman of Eti-Osa East Local Council Development Area, Hon. John Campos Ogundare played host to the Eti-Osa East LCDA representatives of the South-West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA ’23) in his office on Tuesday, 26th February 2021.

The South-West Agenda for Asiwaju 2023 (SWAGA ’23) is a political movement that is building support base for the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Mr Opeyemi Egberongbe, the Eti-Osa East Coordinator of the group and his Deputy, Mr Nosiru Mutairu said they were happy to be welcomed by the council chairman.

Mr Egberongbe stated that the purpose of their meeting with the chairman was to acquaint him with the SWAGA '23 movement, and to also seek his endorsement and support for the group's activities in Eti-Osa East LCDA.

In response, the chairman was delighted to hear of the group's presence in Eti-Osa East LCDA, and he without hesitation declared his total support, while noting that "Asiwaju is a father to all and the SWAGA '23 movement has come to stay".

"Asiwaju is a mentor whose generous outstretched hands of politics has raised many political giants across the length and breadth of Nigeria. He is a political calculator and a progressive thinker whose ideas birthed the modern Lagos that is the envy of all today. Therefore, my total support for the candidacy of Asiwaju can never be out of place. He is a core nationalist, an astute politician who is qualified to be the next President of Nigeria," the Chairman further said.

Recall that the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Thursday, 7th October 2021 flagged off the Southwest Agenda 2023 (SWAGA ‘23) in Lagos State to drum support for the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the event was well attended by political leaders from all divisions of Lagos and South-West as a whole.
