There has been pandemonium at the Federal Science and Technical College (FSTC) Yaba since over an incident in which the Vice Principal of the school was alleged to have slapped a teacher of the college.
It was alleged that the Vice Principal, Mrs Dibiaezue Ijeoma, slapped the male teacher, Fayose Samuel in the presence of the students.
From the information gathered, the Vice Principal who wanted to send the male teacher an errand did not pass her message across clearly, thereby making the teacher to tell her to repeat her order. This reportedly did not go down well with the Vice Principal who in turn landed a hot slap on the teacher for not paying attention when she was talking.
An eye witness who confided in #IslandersMediaGroup said that the Vice Principal is notorious for bullying teachers by sending them demeaning errands and threatening to transfer them to remote villages should they refuse her order. So, she said this action of hers was the last straw that broke the camel's back.
This incident culminated into different verbal assaults and altercations among teachers and students of the school. As protests over the issue had started since Monday.
However, to bring peace and sanity to the school, the Vice Principal whose cup had allegedly filled up through her actions was told to leave the school premises in Wednesday.
It was gathered that her case had been reported to the appropriate authorities for proper disciplinary action.
