***Says only 7 out of the 40 names are members of Lagos4Lagos Movement
In response to reactions from some party members over the list of successful candidates released recently by the National Working Committee of the PDP, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (JANDOR), the party's flagbearer and Gubernatorial candidate in Lagos has appealed to all party members to give peace a chance.
JANDOR revealed that about 93% of the candidates that emerged from the party primaries are old PDP members. He stated that only 1 out of the 24 candidates for the House of Representatives seats is a member of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, and just 7 out of the 40 State House of Assembly candidates that emerged are from the movement.
He said the clarification becomes necessary to dispel the insinuations from some quarters that majority of the candidates are members of the JANDOR led Lagos4Lagos movement.
He appealed to the aspirants who did not emerge to be gracious in their reactions and that the successful candidates should be magnanimous in victory.
JANDOR enjoined all the party members and key opinion leaders to put the issues of the primaries behind them, unite to win the state for PDP in the coming elections in the interest of the good people of Lagos State who are yearning for a breath of fresh air.
"Lagosians are looking up to PDP as the only credible alternative to the ruling APC, we cannot afford to let the people down", he said.
