Labour Party Guber Candidate, Alex Otti Campaign DG Acho Obioma, Thanks Abians, Calls For Vigilance

Amidst the election results collation crisis rocking the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Abia State Labour Party Governorship Candidate Campaign Director General, Hon. Acho Obioma, has expressed profound gratitude to Nigerians, particularly Abians, for coming out and voting for Labour Party during the Presidential and National Assembly elections last Saturday.

Obioma, who is also, a National Coordinator of Labour Party during the Presidential and National Assembly elections held on February 25, called on Nigerians and indeed Abians to maintain their vigilance, as the election process endures.

He made this known at the Abia State Presidential Election Collation Centre in INEC office on Monday, after the official declaration of results from the seventeen Local Government Areas in Abia State.

He called on INEC to "allow the will and aspirations of the people to reflect on the outcome of elections by uploading the results directly from the BVAS at Polling Units" as enshrined in 2022 Electoral Act and INEC Guidelines.

Acho Obioma said Abians have shown an 'unprecedented commitment' to entrench participatory governance procedure in Abia state, with what they did on Saturday.

He urged Abians to intensify their resilience spirit ahead of the governship and State Assembly elections slated for March 11, by coming out en mass to vote for Dr. Alex Otti of Labour Party as the Governor and other  candidates of the party in State Assembly race; so as to finally liberate themselves from the stranglehold of maladministration and gross incompetence that  has bedevilled the state since 1999.

He also questioned the the veracity of election results from Abia North Senatorial Zone, where the former governor of the state, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu was declared winner, when 'INEC officials did not show up to conduct elections in several polling units' where results were declared.
